Camelia - Brissago

We found the garden very run-down, weeds all over. Made exception for the fact that there is a building site behind the garden (not their fault) and there had been storms the previous evening which could have brought down a lot of debris, but the magnificent ancient tree in the garden is surrounded by ill-kept, moldy-looking benches and abandoned empty flower pots are strewn about….could be gorgeous if cleaned up a bit. We asked for fish filets which were on the menu and were told "sorry, not available". Then asked for a club sandwich (also on menu)…not available. Then veal Cordon Bleu….guess what? Not available. They did make amends by making a Cordon Bleu with chicken and the food was tasty if somewhat unimaginative. But the whole semi-deserted air of the place gave us the impression that they are about to close.
