Wooden Horse Restaurant - Brisbane

Just had a delicious lunch at The Wooden Horse - our host was very attentive, slow cooked pork pizza and accompanying coleslaw with raisins and Parmesan croutons was fabulous - desserts of crime brûlée and affogato - superb - not cheap but well worth the money - we are content and enjoyed every mouthful!

A great suburban restaurant find. Delicious food, good wine list & great service.We've been here twice now & it's been excellent both times. Delicious food, including the pizzas. Had a couple of knockout pizzas flavor wise!Not a huge wine list, but very good choices in their list. A little exy on the wines, but again very good wines.Service has been excellent both times. Pretty good atmosphere.Definitely recommended.

Went early in the night to this great place as we were staying in Clayfield nearby. Easy parking nearby which is a real bonus. The menu was small which I like but enough choices to satisfy this low carb eater. I had a wonderful slow cooked smoky tasting pork dish with seared scallops grapes and a green mash. My husband and son had a small lamb pizza entree which looked superb and the beef dish. As we are beef producers ourselves they are quite fussy about their steak and this totally met the mark. I also had a divine Pinot Noir the waiter recommended. Have already recommended this place to my foodie daughter who is coming up from Melbourne soon. Well done chefs. I do hope to come back again some time.

Situated along a busy road in Clayfield with easy public transport or car access, this is a interesting restaurant open lunch and dinner. The menu isn't extensive, however on closer inspection you realise there are unexpected flavour combinations. The Black Sheep pizza unites lamb with beetroot and goats cheese. After a couple confusing bites, my tastebuds relished every bite. My dining companions enjoyed their pork dishes. Three choices for dessert and all were divine. Each mouthful of the strawberries and cream was full of flavour. Definitely a place to return.

A group of 46 food and wine experts dined at the Wooden Horse on a Wednesday night.The entire night exceeded our expectaions. The head chefs, Morgan & Dane prepared exceptional food, their apprectice chefs Pascale and Jaiden no doubt contributed well. The service staff, Sam, Nicki, Patrick & Callum gave excellent friendly and attentive service.
