The corn was delicious. The pork serving was huge (perhaps a little too big). The main bar reno has certainly improved the look and feel of the place. Nice selection of James Squire varieties on tap. The main dining room is a large open space with too many empty tables which doesn't help the atmosphere. It's a shame because the food is pretty good.
We love going to The Red Lion. Plenty of seats so you're always guaranteed a table. They have a great selection of pub meals and from Monday to Thursday they do a $15 dinner special. Lots a variety of beer including American, and the service is always fast and efficient.
Lunch, Desert and coffee ☕️ Great local with delicious food and quality. Menu has a good variety for everyone. Reasonably priced food. Very busy day and staff were absolutely brilliant. Say hi to Chef Daniel , when you drop in
Went on a Thursday night with the missus and 7 year old daughter. The air conditioning was too cold and despite our requests they did not turn it down. We moved table which improved things a bit.Wife and I both had eye fillet steaks ($32) which geed but not great. Chips, salad and sauces were very good. Daughter really liked her chicken nuggets (proper breast meat) and chips. Overall a decent feed but nothing to get excited over.
This is my local pub that has seen multiple upgrades and owners over the several years I have lived nearby. A lot of money has been spent this time but still no deck to take advantage of the awesome view of the sunset on summery afternoon. The bar staff and chefs seem quite nice and very efficient, the same cant be said for the angry waitress. I'm sure you will work out who she is.The meals were alright with a 2 for 1 voucher but I don't think they are worth the full price. The costs are fairly high for drinks and meals for a suburban pub but who knows it might get the West end / Valley crew in eventually to justify prices but for the time being its seem like a quiet pub with little atmosphere and high costs. No bands, low volume music playing and of course there is always pokies : (
