Taro's Ramen & Cafe - Brisbane

During a travel in Japan we fell in love with ramen, so we wanted to try it in Brisbane and we chose this restaurant for the good reviews. However, the ramen wasn't even similar to the one we had in Japan. Too bad

Great range of ramen dishes. For ramen lovers! A little hard to find up the escalators in an office building, geared to lunch trade. Worth a visit after work or for a quick dinner after sight seeing.

This is by far the best ramen I am yet to have in Brisbane. I count myself as a regular at the Ascot and George St Taro's. If you love ramen, this is the place for you. It is authentic and relatively cheap. Team it up with an Asahi beer and you're in noodle heaven.

We arrived at the late end of lunch service with a few stragglers still eating and ordering big bowls of noodles. The ordering was a simple do it yourself from the screen affair, with photos of dishes making for easier ordering . The soup was great , the dumplings good , the pig cheeks really tasty . It is a popular eating place in Hamilton and supposed to be quite cheap . With a couple of soft drinks for two we spent nearly $60 , so, not so cheap . The rating should be higher for this restaurant and it would be if they were more organised with the clean up. There were dirty uncleared tables everywhere, the dining room doubled as a storage room and it was grubby . The place needs a good deep clean and a tidy up . More staff at lunch time ...I understand you are busy , I see that you always are and that is great , your product is good , but it is uncomfortable dining in a mess and grubby environment. I hope you will clean your restaurant up so we can all enjoy it.

Very good and cheap food. A bit out of the way. Good spot for students. The service was good and the food cooked fresh. Very enjoyable
