It's not overly crowded and quite cosy. TV can be quite distracting while trying to have conversations but that's the only thing I'd pick on really.
Stopped in for lunch whilst in Brisbane for business. After verbally ordering and backing up my order by pointing at the menu the waitress still managed to get it wrong. Rather than apologising for the mix up she disputed my version and made me pay the one dollar difference between what I received and what I ordered. I was prepared to forgive this but after tasting the bland and lifeless Bento box needed to warn other potential customers to choose another Japanese option close by. Japanese food is usually subtle and delicate but this meal had obviously been prepared by not properly trained chefs. The tempura batter would have been at home at your local fish and chip shop and was think and over fried, the rice was over cooked and the rest of the dish lacked anything resembling expertly prepared Japanese preparation. Best avoided unless you want a lunch that is barely food.
I loved Sukachi. I impatiently waited through the time they were closed for renovations. However, new space is awful, loud, too bright, and totally lacking character. The chicken is still delicious. However, where once you could get a half chicken, rice, coleslaw and the super yummy pamuchim for $13.50, it's now $15.50 for chicken and coleslaw no pamuchim on the menu at all instead you get a sprig of parsley : So sad, it was my favourites for casual takeaway in Brisbane CBD, I don't think I'll bother going back. The chicken is still amazing though
Great location in the Brisbane CBD, tasty menu and wonderful atmosphere. We came when it was quiet but it would still be a place to come to late at night. The food was well prepared, full of flavour and filling. Even though the CBD is at the door, the moment you step in, you leave the rat race outside. Friendly service, reasonable prices and good choice of dishes makes for an enjoyable experience. We'll return and try some of their other dishes, maybe late at night. Besides there's not much to go wrong with chicken and beer on the menu, especially tasty chicken like this. Enjoy.
The sushi was ok nothing special. A little more expensive than most places so you would expect slightly better quality. I will try it again later before I pass judgment.
