It has been requested since 2012, and they have stalled all along till 2016. So I doubt that these hotdogs are really healthy for you if they are very hesitant to provide this info.
This is one of my favourite places to get lunch during the week when I work in the heart of Brisbane CBD. Their service is very friendly and efficient. Recommend this place highly and enjoy a great meal at a reasonable price. I have to give a special call out to ADAM who is not just friendly but remembers what you want and put the order in before you can even say hi:) Great friendly customer service and not just another number. Keep up the great work!!!
This is going to be a much shorter than usual review from yours truly, because it could possibly be summed up in only a paragraph. I still like to give a decent enough of a description for how well it comes across in various aspects, and why if I can along with the reasons for getting there. That's what can make a review more solid, and get the idea for how the place is able to work - from a simple food truck to a Michelin star quality restaurant, it matters down to the core. With that discretion out of the way, let's talk about the Snag Stand. For the description of it, all that has to be said it is another entry in the food court. Simple takeaway fast food sort of fare is what it is. Service I found alright (it really does not need to be much), and a buzzer is given for you to wait and then collect as it goes off. Snag Stand is not a place to plan going for a meal, but a quick bite to eat - one that is on impulse, like it was when I went here after work. Had a bit of cash, not anywhere to be for a while, so I just grabbed a bite to eat. Having the word "Stand" in its name is pretty apt, since this has a menu that is simplified enough to come across as a stand that could be in a market stall. What they have is several types of hot dogs - some are classics from around the world, and others are their own creation. The counterpart for the hot dog is there as well, in the form of a burger - choose from chicken or hamburger. Finally, there are sides - mainly onion rings and fries - and drinks to have with the hot dog or hamburger. Simplicity can have its advantages. What I got from here was the famous Chicago Dog. They grill a beef sausage - or a frankfurter - onto a poppy seed roll, then top it with a combination of mustard, chilli relish, onion, chopped tomatoes, a pickle spear, and sprout peppers with a sprinkling of celery salt to finish it off. Also to go on the side, I had a small serving of onion rings. The onion rings were far and apart the star of the show, they cooked fantastically with a great batter with was not too oily, and the onions were starting to get really sweet, just on the verge of becoming caramalised. It might not have been a big serving, but it did hit the spot quite well. There was even a surprise fry down the bottom (who doesn't like bonuses, eh?). As for the hot dog, it was not too bad itself. Aside from an iffy roll, which was a bit soft and could have benefited from a slight toasting, it was a decent enough snack. The sausage was well cooked and juicy, and I quite liked the tanginess of the relish along with the sprout pepper that rested on top. Those added some good spice, along with the distinct vinegar flavour of pickle. The chopped tomatoes were also a good touch, and mustard is the perfect accompaniment to a hot dog. This was a decent mix of flavours, all quite unique that combine to a regional favourite known the world over. All that needs to be done is ask a Chicago native how it stacks up. Basically, as it was I just went here to get a brief snack after work and that is essentially that. It is quick, and something a little different from the mega-chains populated around the place. Credit is where credit is due, and they got both speed and quality on their side.
