Simon's Gourmet Gallery - Brisbane

Very disappointed. My young granddaughter brought me here. We waited 55 minutes for our food order to be delivered to our table. The restaurant was not full and we could not understand why there was such a delay. I ordered two cups of coffee while I wait for dinner, and my granddaughter ordered a strawberry milkshake. When our eggs arrived on toast and pancakes and ice cream, we were no longer very hungry. We had booked a table before the time, and certainly not expected so long waiting time. Definitely a disappointment for a special brunch.

Simon first visited in January 2018 and is now a regular customer, going at least three times a week. The food is fantastic, the coffee is always good, and the staff are consistently cheerful, efficient, and dedicated. Anyone who complains must either have very high standards or be in a bad mood. Keep up the great work!

Looking for another experience of my Standout Single Guys) and a late breakfast, so I thought I would try Simons for an update! Whoa, what's going on? I ordered Poached Eggs on Sourdough with Bacon and Halloumi on the side plus a strong...Cappuccino. Coffee came reasonably fast, but was indeed insipid, not strong and the coffee was not a good quality. But the real problem was breakfast. The first signal was butter, two catches a la Land Motel style. Then the sourdough, as I cut into it, no resistance as it was broken because it was so dry, ie two days old. Then the eggs, 2 of, extremely hard and actually cool in time. After what I wanted, the left over coffee cups and plates were still there after I made the papers and left reddish. Never again!

Breakfast was terrible. had been there and was good. Eggs were so boiled that it was still clear. ordered a strawberry minty smoothie and had no mint in the drink and had so much ice was extremely watered taste. Very disappointed by the breakfast. It won't go back.

Great range of locally sourced ingredients and cooked to a perfection. Seating is a little uncomfortable but fine for grabbing a quick sit down meal. Service is has become) seemingly confused and chaotic with waits up to 30mins on a sit down coffee and...40mins on food. Saturday/Sunday mornings are very popular between 7 and 8:30am. The atmosphere is a little lacking now with none of the original staff there. Overall great food, adequate seating and the coffee is good.
