Miss Kay's Birkdale - Brisbane

Been here a dozen times only been disappointed once (ludacrisp chicken burger) was a bit dry and lacking flavour, but other than that the place is amazing. The Beef Burgers are BIG, juicy and unique. The poutine is dope and the atmosphere is awesome.

Food was good for the price, young untrained staff on the register made ordering difficult for our whole table of 10.

I love this place, only discovered it recently and can happily say it's my new favourite. They have a great craft beer range, friendly service and big burgers! Definitely recommend :

I found this burger joint by chance yesterday at lunchtime and was glad I did. I had a craving for an an old style cheese burger and that’s exactly what I got. Juicy but not too greasy with a very American flavours with the mustard sauce and pickles. My friend had the Caesar Salad, which he said was quite nice- though presentation on the red plastic plate was a little lacking. The decor also has an American Diner feel with a large deck for indoor/outdoor dining. They are licenced to serve alcohol and I could imagine it to be busy on Friday and Saturday nights. I would definitely come back if in the area again.

Overall, very good. <br/ <br/ Points only lost for a very long wait time we waited just under an hour for our food. I think the wait is reasonably understandable considering how new this restaurant is. They were also very busy. <br/ <br/ The food was very good. I ordered a double cheeseburger. The bread was nice and fresh, the patties were cooked well and there were good ratios of the other ingredients. The chips were shoestring (my personal favourite) and were well seasoned. I was quite impressed. <br/ <br/ I have eaten at the CBD Miss Kay's twice before and it was quite underwhelming both times. My food at this branch was far better. <br/ <br/ I will be back, and if the wait time improves will certainly change my 4 star review to a 5.
