Melange Cafe - BRISBANE CITY

This little indoor cafe is in the middle of the Roma Street Parkland. It is very quaint and has good coffee and wonderful cakes. We were really glad we stopped. They also serve other items (breakfast and lunch). It was a great way to relax and recharge after exploring the park.

The owner needs a huge lesson in manners. You do not speak to nice people the way he does. What a rude rude individual.

Seeking lunch on a cool Brisbane day - Melange looks good and is prominent in Roma Street Gardens. Quite a distance to choose anywhere else so we stayed.No direct sun, all top of building open to elements so despite the looks it was cold and drafty. Points to melange - they do have some blankets available for their customers. Lighting is poor on an overcast day. We were advised of the special for the day and unfortunately failed to ask how much. Turned out it was a duck and noodle salad with very little duck in it at the price of $28. As dear as the higher of the other menu options - certainly not a "special". The meals were large, well presented, lacking in seasoning, cool to cold. Battered fish was lovely, chips were awful and soggy, salad was boring. Vego bruschetta was average but the handful of green leaves on top was inedible and undressed and unnecessary. Bill for 3 meals, 2 coffees and one juice was over $80. Very overpriced. Staff were lovely and thr only saving grace for Melange - not recommended for a second trip.

After walk through the park, stopped at the Melange Cafe. There were 2 large parties going on, but the waiter was friendly and did his best to get our order in. Didn't have to wait long and food, tasty toasties were great. waiter checked we were ok and all was good

Really.. it's a joke..offensive for all the good hospitality's people of the world.9 dollar for a muffin,7.50 for coffee.I do not mind to spend money for a service,but in this case is unjustifiably overpriced.Is a joke,is offensive for the customers is unfair.I will never go there again,same as all my friends and family.
