Best Little Oarhouse in Nova Scotia

I will definitely remember to order the "Christa" burger next time (just lettuce, ketchup, and pickles, right?) This was my first time trying the fish and it was excellent. The fish was very fresh, with a nice batter and a generous portion. It was busier during dinner time compared to our first visit, but the staff made sure everyone was satisfied with their order. With two of our three kids with us, they opted for the signature burger and were not disappointed. Keep up the good work RD, you have a great thing going here!

I have been on a quest to find great fish and chips, but have been disappointed by reviews of frozen fries, not fresh fish, and gross tartar sauce. I have dined all over Nova Scotia due to my job, and finally, I have found the perfect spot. The fish was flakey and fresh, the batter was not greasy and perfectly cooked, and the fries were delicious on their own but even better with vinegar. I was recommended to try this place after expressing my struggle to find good fish and chips as a fisherman's son. Despite my initial hesitation when I saw the enormous burgers being served, I was blown away. This place is without a doubt the best spot for fish and chips. I will definitely be returning, not only for the amazing fish but also for those incredible burgers. I can't wait to go back. This restaurant deserves the title of the best place in Canada for fish and chips. Kudos to the owner who is friendly, attentive, and accommodating. I even asked to bring in my coffee and was welcomed with open arms. Everyone should visit this gem of a restaurant!

My hunt for good fish and chips has left me disappointed from reviews of people's sub par frozen fries and not fresh fish and gross tartar sauce. I've eaten all over Nova Scotia as I work all over. I can finally say the time has come where I could say this is it. This place was amazing. Fish so flakey and fresh, batter that doesn't drip grease and is fully cooked, light and flakey. Fries that are good by themselves deadly with vinegar, just perfect. I was told to go there after complaining as a fisherman's son I can't find anywhere good for fish and chips. I almost had second thoughts when I saw the monster burgers coming out as I walked in... Wow. Needless to say hands down best place for fish and chips, I'll be back, many times, next time no matter how amazing their fish was, those burgers. Wow, can't wait to go back. This place should take the crown for best place in canada for fish and chips. Well done!!! The owner is super polite and friendly, checking in to make sure everything is good and very helpful. I asked if I could take in my coffee and was welcomed. Everyone should go here!!!

All I can say is that I love burgers and the burgers here are great tasting!! Great food!! The menu is slowly expanding and I hope the business does well!!
