The Blarney Stone - HEBBS CROSS

We make a point to visit whenever we can. The food is consistently outstanding, and the service is impeccable. They serve the best fish and fries I've ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who hasn't had the chance to try it.

My husband ordered the donair burger and was so engrossed in it that he didn’t say a word while eating (which speaks volumes!). He added some hot sauce on the side and loved it so much that he scraped the plate clean! He opted for a platter that came with fries and coleslaw, and the portions were so generous we ended up taking half the fries home. I had the chicken burger with onion rings. The burger was absolutely delicious, with real chicken, which I truly appreciated. I did request some wing sauce on the side, which was included on our bill. While I don’t mind paying for extras, I always prefer to be informed of any additional costs beforehand. It's clear they keep their fryer oil clean, which is crucial in a diner. Their coconut cream pie easily ranks among my top five (and I try it everywhere I go, so that's a significant compliment!). We will definitely be returning, even with the hour-long drive.

The menu clearly states: this is NOT a fast food restaurant, and that's a good thing. You can enjoy a local beer while your clams, scallops, and French fries are being freshly prepared. When the food arrives, it's a true feast. The staff is friendly and the prices are quite reasonable. The freshness of the ingredients really makes all the difference.

Plain looking in the outside with good old-fashioned hospitality on the inside. Great food, good portions and fair prices. There's also a large parking lot that can accomodate trailers and campers.

Have been waiting for three years to have the opportunity to return to The Blarney Stone and it was well-worth visiting again. Ordered the chips and clams with tartar sauce and coleslaw and they were amazing! The clams were lightly breaded, crisp, and delicious. The fries were nice and evenly cooked. The coleslaw was creamy, well-balanced, and could be a meal in itself. The portions are very generous and, in some instances, are enough to feed two people. The menu is quite varied and there's definitely something for everyone. The ladies who were waiting on the tables were very friendly. It is worth noting that the restaurant can be very busy as it is quite popular. Not certain if they do take reservations but maybe best to phone in and enquire for groups of more than two people.
