The “coffee on the gravel” is a must during walks in the village. in the center a stone's throw from the white tower is this perfect place for a great hot chocolate accompanied by a sublime slice of cake. comfortable and warm rooms in winter, a cozy summer dehor in the small courtyard of the room is perfect for aperitif in the historic heart of brescia. the staff, friendly and always helpful, puts customers at ease for some minutes of healthy relaxation.
Very efficient and attentive staff to every detail! in addition to the cakes shows and with various choices, presented very well, you can also have lunch with fresh dishes of the kitchen, although we preferred to have lunch with a rustic sandwich typical of the area of excellent quality.
In the historical heart of brescia, behind the cathedral and close to the forests of the renewed academy of cusano, cultural center of the city where I heard a concert conducted with mastery by the musicologist Dr. rubboli di modena, there is this shop of pastry with restaurant service also in an ancient room very elegant and with cozy open garden, if there is the sun, even in winter. all here, both sweet and salty, is prepared with extreme care and served carefully. an experience not to be missed!
My nose for sweet things hustled me through the pretty centre of town to this quiet little cafe, and as I walked in I was met with a beautiful display of glistening cakes, just the thing to set us up for the morning stroll to Novacella. I waved in the wife and we settled down to a decent hunk of black forest gateau and strawberry cheesecake and two cappuccinos. Prompt cheerful service, delicious food and very clean bathroom. We went out whistling and set off for the Abbey, a perfect start to a lovely day!
