In that part of the world it is almost impossible to find somewhere local to eat at that is open in an evening. Everything seems to close bang at 6pm. I was pleasantly surprised to find this open and still serving food beyond this time. The food was great and the portions are generous and the price was reasonable. I will defiantly return there for more next time I am at this location.
We were only 5 days there, easy to relax. Beautiful new room with balcony where we were greeted by white cows in the morning. Eat well, but could be better. 2. Breakfast was sufficient, normal. We had a little dog with us who felt totally comfortable. Very much.
Looking for an old museum in Furtwangen, in the beautiful but very foggy cold Black Forest we drove to Neukirch. Finally, after a winding route, we saw the inviting inn for the deer. The small way to the inn was smooth and icy, but you could easily stick to the railing. We were immediately greeted and received the information that soon, to coffee, a wedding company is expected. Very friendly locals, sitting on the regular table, greeted us politely nodded and let us feel that we are welcome in the warm guest room. At the house tile stove we took place, little straw witches ran on the table. We had the feeling like before, in the good old Stubb. We ordered ourselves, in the inn, a delicious beer and a cheesecake with coffee. Both were served quickly and our day was saved in the gray fog. We look through the guest rooms and discover loving details from the past. Old cuckoo clocks, typical of the Black Forest, hanging on the walls and many photos from the past. Among them a large picture with the elaborate history of the traditional economy of Anno in 1867: Hart was the struggle that Bregenbachbauer Cyprian Fehrenbach has for years led to the maintenance of the concession in order to lead a restaurant. The other hosts of the area fought very much against the new competition and thought that a fourth inn would be superfluous. This was seen by the government of the Oberrheinkreis Freiburg. Unfortunately, the Bregenbachbauer Cyprian had no right to speak. But the host in Spe did not give up and had done something more refined. Now he could finally use his right to abuse. From then on, the family led the inn to the deer in the 5th generation. As we see, the history of a guest house can also be very interesting. Everything about the inn is read on the homepage of the house. In the Landgasthof there are original Baden dishes and fine delicacies. The meat comes from cattle of their own Charolais breeding. There is also the possibility to stay in the Gasthaus Hirschen. As a guest house, with beautiful rooms, it is recommended to every Black Forest holidaymaker. On our way home we met an exhausted cross-country skier in front of the inn, who said: “Beautiful, finally arrived in the deer!”
Small menu, but for this kulitatiw eat very well. for a long time, not so good.
Great location, very nice rooms, very good restaurant and very nice host.
