To be honest, the service was quite slow. We sat for a good 15 minutes or more before they took the order. Other people were served similar meals to the ones we had ordered but they were served sooner than we were even though they came in the restaurant significantly after we did. This puzzled us, but the fish was really good, so that sort of made up for it. Two of my onion rings had what must have been the hard dry out layer of the onion that was so tough that I wrapped it around a couple of fingers and still couldn't break it by pulling on it with my best effort. It's a remarkably busy place so they must be doing something right, and maybe I just got them on a bad night.

Renamed Chippies the restaurant has had a recent diy makeover, it looks somewhat refreshed. The portions are generous. The menu has been expanded too, not just fish and chips. Price per person: CA$10–20 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot

Had lunch today, 2 piece cod and fries. Couldn't be happier, lightly battered and not greasy. This is how fish and chips are supposed to be. Fries were crisp and full of flavor, even the creamy coleslaw was spot on. All for $20 which is a great deal by today's standards. Me and my spouse were completely full after our meal.
