Only a quick thirty-minute drive from Kitchener, Willibald offers a wide variety of beers, cocktails, wines, seltzer, vodka, and gin. Despite being known as a 'Distillery and Brewery', the kitchen impresses with gourmet-level dishes. The 'Willi Burger' was outstanding, rivaling the best burgers I've ever tasted. The fries were also exceptional, freshly cut and delicious. The rest of our group enjoyed dishes like the Grilled Zucchini, Caesar salad, Roasted Red Pepper and Cheese Dip, and the 'Korean BBQ' Chicken Sandwich, all made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. This countryside oasis is definitely worth the trip.
Stopped in for lunch and was very impressed. Have loved their beer and gin for some time now, but had never come out for food. Funghi pizza was delicious. The crust was light, airy, crispy, and flaky at the same time and held its shape crust to tip, retaining the same crispiness throughout. Toppings were excellent. The use of pickled red onions and arugula chimichurri made the pizza just that much better. The creamy garlic dipping sauce was wholly unnecessary (the pizza and crust stand on their own , but was very well made and delicious. I found it overpowered the funghi pizza, so enjoyed it just with pieces of the crust. Beer, as always was exceptional, as was their signature gin mule using their barrel aged gin and homemade ginger tea the perfect balance of ginger spiciness with modest sweetness. Atmosphere was also excellent on the patio. Service was great (thanks Brooke and co. ! 10/10, will return.
Located on a stunning farm, this distillery and brewery is a must-visit spot. It may be a bit out of the way, but the food is delicious - we especially enjoyed the pizzas and salads, as well as trying out their various beers. I even had the opportunity to sample their wine, which was amazing enough for me to purchase a bottle to take home. Be sure to browse their shop, where you can find their own vodka in beautifully crafted bottles - a perfect gift idea.
A beautiful location in the countryside of Ayr. Food selection was limited for people that have dietary restrictions although we're still able to accommodate a gluten-free meal. The cesear salad was by far one of the best that I have had in recent memory. Drinks were beautifully done and tasted delicious. Surprisingly prices were not overly expensive. #localguides #glutenfree
Stunning setting with delicious food and drinks. The burger was the best I've had in ages! The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back.
