Hayton Farm Shop - Brampton

Enjoy my walk around the farm shop , and took a couple of nice things home .

Called here on the way to Newcastle and it was well worth the stop, I choose a BLT and my wife a Tuna and Cucumber sandwich from a excellent lunch menu and we weren't disappointed, (they also serve desserts with a large selection of home made ice cream . The staff were polite and friendly and the cafe was clean and tidy though a bit dated. Downsides, there are no signs on the approach road which travelling at 60mph it's quite easy to miss, by the time you see it you're past it , the place looks like it could do with a freshen up (new paint etc but don't let that put you off as it's a really great little cafe

Expected it to sell farm foods but it was more jams and chutneys, the tea room looked nice thou, loads of space to sit, cakes looked yummy too!!

Nice coffee and sandwich selection, decent options for those with dietary needs given it's a farm shop (i.e. gluten dairy)

The shop is lacking any real farm produce, it all appears to be bought in. The food is very expensive for what you actually get, the scone was very dry, the luxury hot chocolate was basically chocolate powder with water, cream marshmallows abd a flake and you get extra hairs with your coffee! Would not recommend this to anyone!
