This amazing culinary experience starts with the lightest peanut butter mousse pie I've ever had. It’s mildly spicy, and while it melts in your mouth, it still has a delightful crispy exterior. Next, we enjoyed Dean's thick and luscious dip served with crispy, salty chips. The Bayshore salad is perfect for garden lovers, bursting with fresh flavors. Following that, we savored the rich and creamy alligator chowder. For the main courses, we had the island-spiced pork tenderloin and a bourbon-mango full rack, accompanied by five-cheese macaroni and cheese. Our server, Linda, was fantastic—attentive without being intrusive.

For my appetizer, I ordered the buffalo gator bites, which came with the buffalo sauce on the side rather than tossed in, along with Mean Dean's signature sweet and zesty atomic sauce. The atomic sauce could have been a bit spicier, but it was still tasty and flavorful. The gator bites were cooked to perfection, with a flavorful and well-seasoned batter. Lastly, I highly recommend the rosemary chicken in fig sauce. It was absolutely delicious—well-seasoned, juicy, and tender, practically melting in your mouth. The fig sauce had an incredible flavor that complemented the rosemary chicken beautifully. This was my first visit to Mean Dean's Local Kitchen, and I will definitely be returning. We visited Mean Deans Local Kitchen for the first time yesterday and had a fantastic experience. Rory provided excellent service, and both our appetizer and main course were delicious. There were four of us, and everyone enjoyed their meal. We left feeling very full and even had some leftovers to take home. This is a wonderful restaurant located in a strip mall. Although we didn’t get the chance to meet the chef, we saw him visiting tables throughout the restaurant. We can’t wait to return in a few weeks!

The chef has a different take on his meal preps. I loved the pulled bbq salmon sandwich I had and the seasoned fries. Decor, menu choices, and service is a 10!

Great local place to eat. Food was all very good, service was excellent (Linda). Love the No rush dining. Dean came to our table to chat, very nice chef and owner takes the time to visit every table.
