Got a quick takeaway of mee goreng tonight. Pretty good and the ingredients are fresh. The setup is a bit simplistic but at least the food was good. Will be back again
Hard to find good hearty Chinese food around Brisbane I feel, but Asian Food Paradise is our go to shop when we want Chinese. I live up the road from them and when I Order over the phone they say it'll be ready in 15 minutes, 15 minutes later drive down to get it BANG. it's ready. Very friendly service, prices are affordable, tasty food quick service.
Asian Food Paradise Holland Park, Brisbane. Located in simultaneously an awkward yet proximal place, Asian Food Paradise is snuggled in an array of stores on a side street just off multiple main roads (and across the lane from a gas station, to boot). As standard looking as it may be (it is nothing that is unique), if approached with an open mind it is quite a wholesome choice. <br/ <br/ It is more a take out than anything; there is the presence of tables for people waiting for their order. The waitress there did what she need to do, and was helpful in my order (I paid by EFTPOS, but was under the minimum a half order of an entree was allowed). When the order was placed, she suggested to sit down quite courteous. <br/ <br/ There was not a lot to the interior, it was a small area for takeaway. It did embelish family orientation. <br/ <br/ For my order, there was a $7 lunch special menu (with $1 extra for fried rice and $1 for a can of soda with the exception of Coke) of 15 or so dishes. I chose a salt and pepper chicken with fried rice and a half order of spring rolls. <br/ <br/ The dish was surprisingly spicy, an agreeable temperature and translated pretty well. There could be improvement on the fried rice it was a bit plain for fried rice and could have had more substance (such as egg, corn etc) and would have suffered if it was eaten by itself. The spring rolls were better than average and I could detect actual ingredients in the filling. Overall, a decent meal for the folk short on time. <br/ <br/ I have been to Asian Food Paradise several times before, and they have had good food slightly different from the Chinese and Thai that are common in the situated area. This time, Asian Food Paradise did not disappoint and I will certainly consider returning.
Very tasty. We ordered the sweet and sour pork, chicken and cashews and combination ho fun in egg sauce, along with a couple of fried rice, dim sims fried and spring rolls. Everything was really good and tasty. Happy to recommend as a good local Chinese.
