The Pita Pit - Bowmanville

The restaurant has a gluten-free wrap option on their menu, which I enjoyed. However, I don't think it is a safe choice for those with Celiac disease. When I asked if they could cook my meat separately, the staff said no. I suggested they at least wash it in between, but they only wiped it with a paper towel. Sadly, I got sick after eating there and won't be returning.

Good atmosphere, good food and healthier then fast food. I love with place. Ask for the vegetables to be grilled and try pineapple as a choice of topping.

Nice little pita place in the heart of town. Good selection of meat or veggie pitas with an array of toppings. Good service and with a smile. Will eat here again.

I have to say the kids who work there seem to be very shy. They don't talk much. However, my pita seemed to be okay. I wasn't sure what was to go on it. I asked for the chicken Caesar pita. When I ordered the girl asked me what I wanted on it so I opted for tomatoes, peppers, onions and mushrooms as well as the chicken, romaine, dressing, bacon and cheese. The ordering seems to be the same fashion as Subway or Mr. Sub. Overall, I thought the place looked clean but it was not busy. I got in and out of there in about five minutes!
