Decided to break all HR protocol and called the new “Work of Home” staff to see if she wanted to lunch with me. The first time and it is right in the backyard! Good prices, divisible portions and a delicious Creamsicle Shake. Service and friendly staff. We walked with foot long hot dog, clam roll with frits, and a sequence of onion rings. Beautiful terrace with picnic tables and parasols. Couple after us ordered the lobster rolls. They looked delicious. Prepared with mayonnaise only at this point, but lots of meat to it “shareable”.
The lobster was worth BIG and the price. It was only $26 loaded with a ton of meat and not with salad as a filler. The only thing I didn't like was that there was a lot of claws. The claw was hard and took away from the lobster roll, but as soon as I ate the claw pieces first, I had to enjoy the rest of my role. The fried mussels were also really good. There were no oceanic aromas in the abdomen and the tartaric acid sauce worked perfectly with it. You have many seats around the store, but there is also a beautiful seating area over the street where you can see the bridge and enjoy your meal
Consistently good seafood with a great view. Not cheap, but it's a kind of icon of the herring running surface... something special, so somehow it's totally worth it. Be careful and leave very dangerous. Go a little early to skip long lines.
Probably the oldest, and definitely best place to get really good Lobster Rolls and Fried Clam Rolls with bellies. It's not the cheapest but for the quality and portions you get an excellent value. The fried clams are cooked perfectly and the batter is light fluffy and seasoned just right. I'm usually not a French Fry person, but their Fries are cooked perfectly with really good flavor. The only negative is they are cash only. But they do have an ATM machine if you didn't bring enough. I'd give the six stars, but Google maxes out at five.
A very meaty lobster roll! I think for a price of $26, this was very well worth it. It also comes with a side of fries.
