Le Francais - Boulogne-sur-Mer

We were looking for lunch on the way back to the tunnel for six of us. It was open a Sunday with limited restaurants. We park right outside, so we thought we'd let it go. We went in and it seemed that all tables were booked, but no, they made room for us. We all had a head and sweet, with a few rounds of drinks. The food was excellent, chicken in a creamy cheese sauce that had four of us. Fish with Ratatouille, Camembert with Lardons and Salad, all served with delicious frits. A variety of sweets that were also excellent. All house made and beautifully presented. So we think that a man and a woman team, with little English, supports another customer with some of the course translations. This was a brilliant coincidence that we would definitely visit again.

Stand up for a quick coffee. This is a small picturesque typical French bar coming to eat coffee not too far from the city center. We found the service to be very fast and efficient, and the lady who served us went out of her way to make us welcome, also with my mother in a wheelchair. Although we did not eat here, we would recommend this place for coffee or a casual drink.

Had lunch drinks on a Friday when we first arrived in Boulogne and waited for a check-in at our hotel. Extremely helpful staff who spoke English and actually takes English money. We came back to dinner this night and the food was above average, nice... Seat outside the front, soon filled with locals
