A large group of us come to celebrate together, we had the private room. The food was excellent and the service was also great. If you love Italian food you need to come here. You won't be disappointed. Everything we ordered was cooked thoughtfully and was fresh. Overall a very pleasing experience. We will be back again.
We were there for a Sunday lunch with friends. Antipasto was ordered to share. Some in the group had a Minestrone as a starter being a cold day. Main Courses of Seafood Risotto, Seafood Stew, Red Emporer Fish and vegies and Steak and vegies. We selected red and white wine to accompany the lunch. The service was friendly and prompt.
Had lunch here on a Sunday for our cousins catch up. Booking of 9 and surprisingly given a generous table with a lots of space and not squashed in like you would normally expect in some restaurants. We started by sharing some pizza's which were delicious, could not fault. Our mains we good all except the chicken dish served with polenta. Chicken was little dry and the polenta was not as one would expect, it was bland and greyish in colour and not presented all all nicely. My daughter and sister who ordered these dishes were struggling to eat it so I sent my daughter's meal back and had her order something different. My main on the other hand was faultless, I ordered the Veal Saltimbocca and it was beautiful, would highly recommend. We ordered additional items to share on the table such as chips, broccolini and salad as their mains don't include much on the side. I need to add when we sent the chicken back the waitress was great about it and very apologetic that it did not meet our satisfaction and offered for my daughter to order another meal with she did. My husbands spaghetti marinara was average with raw mussels on his plate. Food appeared to be hit and miss today. Service all day was very good and friendly. Desserts looked good on presentation, I ordered the Pane Cotta which unfortunately was very gelatinous and lacked flavour. Everyone else's dessert was good. A place with lots of separate rooms for different functions which is great as it reduces the noise level. One criticism is maybe they should invest in some window blinds as we were sitted right next to the window which was full length and the sun shining made it very uncomfortable for those people close to the window as it got extremely hot not to mention the sun was constantly in their eyes. Corkage is little steep at $10 per bottle but then it's cheaper than buying a bottle of wine from them as their wines average about $45.00 per bottle. Have been here before and it's always been great in every area but unfortunately today fell short of their normally good food, could have been an off day as the restaurant was not full so they were not under pressure. Plenty of parking on High Street. Although we experienced some not so good dishes on this occasion I certainly would go back and give it another go.
We dined here on a Sunday night. It was full! A testament to how good this restaurant is. A variety of diners, from couples to families with young children, to friends.Staff were very attentive, surroundings excellent, and the food was hot, tasty and deliciousEasy to park in High st, which helps when dining out.Another bonus is that you can BYO. We will return.Well done to all.
