Crystal Dragon Restaurant - Boroondara

Even though we lived close by, we had never dined at this restaurant before. What a gem of a local Chinese restaurant! The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The dishes were not greasy, packed with vegetables, and the recommendations were delicious. They were also very accommodating for those with gluten intolerance. Highly recommend trying this place out.

The food was below standard, the decor was outdated and worn, and the service was unprofessional. We were greatly disappointed by the meal - it lacked flavor and was unimpressive. The banana in the fritter seemed to be frozen, barely ripe, and was soggy and tasteless. One waiter was rushed while the others seemed confused and laughed as they rushed around the restaurant. The overall experience was unpleasant, with dirty walls, moldy water bottles, and dirty glasses. We will not be returning, as it was a very disappointing experience.

I live near Macedon Plaza and had never tried this Chinese restaurant before, but I had been disappointed with others nearby many times. I'm so glad I decided to give it a try. My family loved the food, the prices were very reasonable, and the staff were friendly. The interior is a bit plain and bright, but the atmosphere was enjoyable with people enjoying their meals. I will definitely be ordering from here again. Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience.

Although a Chinese Restaurant, it caters mainly to locals, and therefore the cuisine is adapted accordingly. Service is friendly and good. When you sit down, every settling has a fork. All the specials on the wall are in English and not Chinese.

This is a small Chinese restaurant that never fails to please. The restaurant is casual dinning but the food is always great. I cannot recommend this highly enough for the quality of the food at a reasonable price
