Surcheros Fresh Mex - Blackshear

Went here this afternoon to try a new restaurant and it was a poor experience. Told workers this was first time and got no recommendations for anything, they just stood there staring at us. Got tacos that were cold and husband got cold steak. They weren’t busy so do not understand why our food was cold but we won’t be back! Not worth our $30.00. Total waste!!!!

Work area needed to be cleaned. Food was all in the floor behind the counter, one of the employees almost fell. Our chips were broken into little pieces. We didn't finish eating our food due to the chicken not looking fully cooked. We will probably not eat here again.

It 's a few hours before closing, tomorrow is Thanksgiving and did not want to cook supper. New to the area so we ordered to give it a try , we arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. Food was prepared, bagged and ready to go. When we sat down to eat, the meals were perfect. Exactly as ordered, the warm foods were warm, the cold were cold. They were fast, efficient and service with a smile. Well done! You have a new regular customer. Kudos to the young people for a job well done this afternoon!

I live in Texas, so I 'm immediately wary when presented with Tex-Mex -style food out of state. But, it was late-ish (after 8PM in a town like Blackshear that rolls up the sidewalks around 7:30PM, and I was tired and hungry. Boy howdy was I in for a treat. When I walked in the door I saw that it was a familiar setup of: 1. pick your delivery method (burrito, quesadilla, taco, bowl, etc. 2. pick your protein 3. pick your toppings. It 's a tried and true approach to this style of dining. I chose a burrito on a jalapeno/cheese tortilla (what is this magical beast? with steak. The 12 tortilla looked massive, but everything was incredibly manageable once I got all of my topping selected. There is absolutely no comparison to Chipotle: Surcheros blows them fully out of the water. All of the ingredients were incredibly fresh and delectable. I was shocked since it was right up against close on a Thursday night. I didn 't feel my burrito was packed with filler (rice, beans, etc. just to bulk it up like I find at many other similar places. I left satisfied and full, but not overly stuffed. Now, back in Texas, I lament that we don 't have Surcheros over this way. Until next time...

Online order was not ready upon arrivial. Chips only 1/4 bag and stale. Had to remind them to put cheese in and cheese was lumpy and the order was not correctly completed.
