Lobstar - Blackrock

Very enjoyable evening. Delicious food, very pleasant service.

Well, the lobster was almost empty of meet, definatly overpriced...

We had a wonderful evening meal. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The menu is smallish which I love. Everything is cooked to order. We had beef tartare and saffron prawns followed by wild halibut and the lobster on the shell. Totally divine. Do leave room for the apple tart tatin, even sharing one. It is yummy. The food is also beautifully presented. For the first time EVER I actually took a photo of my meal. Something I don’t like but wow, I just had to take a photo of my lobster main course. It looked so fabulous I wanted to show it to friends. We would come here much more often but we live just outside Belfast, a good 2 1/2 hours drive away. When we visit Dublin, Lobstar is a must for us. A favourite away from home. 5 stars.

Once again a wonderful dining experience at Lobstar . They kindly ordered in oysters for us which is the perfect treat ; the black sole for two was as always sublime, perfectly cooked and expertly filleted at the table by Vanessa . It is really hard to beat Lobstar .
