The Clean Plate: Black Mountain

POOR QUALITY BREAKFAST TACOS. The eggs were overcooked, overly salty, and wrapped in a plain grocery store tortilla. Overall, the tacos were dry, basic, and salty. On top of that, they are priced at $4.75-$6.00 EACH, and don't even come with cheese - that'll cost you an extra $1.25. How can a simple bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast taco from a roadside trailer be worth $6.00-$7.25? They are nowhere near worth that price, and are actually quite terrible. Despite the roadside banners, this place is a tourist trap. The only positive aspect was the service, and the entertainment of observing seemingly intoxicated individuals passing out on top of a picnic table.

The breakfast tacos are excellent! I highly recommend the brisket and egg taco.

The taco plates at this restaurant in Black Mountain are amazing. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. Every meal we have here is consistently delicious!

I have visited this restaurant a few times and the food was delicious, but the service was lacking. Each time I dined there, it seemed like hospitality was not a priority. Because of this, I have chosen not to return. It was an easy decision.

This place is bizarre. Don’t trust the hours on the website, you never know if they’ll be there or not. Second time I’ve driven 30 minutes to come there for breakfast and they’re not open even though it says online they are open. They might say they’re open at 9am on Sunday, but I waited from 9-9:45. No one ever showed up. Waste of time. However the one time I did have their food it was exceptional and I love that they use clean organic ingredients which is why I make the drive, but won’t be wasting my time again. Also the time I did get food we weren’t allowed to sit in their dining room, it was closed for whatever reason
