Black Bear Tavern - Black Mountain

This place is great, I've never had bad food in the last 5-6 years. I'm pretty sure the owner has a server, a cook, and she takes all orders, so it sometimes takes a little time (not ridiculous). Especially on weekends when all Floridians and folks from Atlanta are here with their children. I would say the 1 star ratings are from them.

I should have taken pictures of our incredible food, but we were too busy enjoying every last bite of it. The best breakfast ever. Never had a sausage sword that was so tasteful. Never got grottos and didn't need to put something in them. Everything was so tasteful!! Also the hostess and waitress were amazing!!

Wonderful food with large portions. Among the favorites are the twisted meat loaf, the rubies, the open face roast beef and chicken sandwich. All we tried was really good. Save space for desserts; they are spectacular.

Excellent food. Amazingly customer-oriented owners and employees. Some really interesting food options I've never seen before. Five of us ate dinner and all shaved about how good everything was, and also super reasonable prices.

YUM!! Never a bad meal. Everything is amazing. The owners and staff are the cherry on the cake, they are so fun. There is a great outdoor seating area that is lovely for your friendly pooch . I love the blue cheese burger. But had the Chicken Philly sandwich today and I can't decide which is. better Also the best fries I have ever had.
