What I would recommend: Alaskan King Crab Lamb Sea bass DEFINITELY the Lobster Bacon Mac cheese shells its a must trust me you will not be disappointed!!! Truffle fries Lobster bisque Lobster escargot (Huge pieces of Lobster!! Was slightly disappointed with the oysters considering tiny pieces of the shell were getting in my mouth but they were still OK
We snagged some seats at the bar, found out it was happy hour, and proceeded to enjoy some of the best service ever. Our bartender was Robert B, and he made sure that our food came out great, and he kept our $5 drinks coming. We ordered a Crab Cake, Buffalo Skewers, and Roasted Brussels Sprouts. There's more food and beverages on the Happy Hour Menu. This is a great place to get a drink and some great food.
We decided to celebrate my birthday there last night. Drinks are 5x the price as they were in the casino (same mixed drink compared . Truffled fries were bland, king grab was cooked perfectly (BUT 2 LEGS FOR $38?!?! , the Delmonico steak (medium rare ... This $40 slab of un-seasoned, bland and poorly prepared meat was severely undercooked/ cold to the touch in the middle. Our waiter (OW : Are y 'all celebrating a special occasion? Us: yes, it 's his birthday today (exclaimed the girlfriend OW: oh, it 's my birthday soon Us: Well hopefully you 're taking the day off and doing something fun OW: well I sure wouldn 't be eating here if I could even afford to take the time off but I don 't make big money like that (waiter walks off forgetting to take our order.... Overall dissatisfied disappointed at where we chose to spend our special night together. Even put in comments on reservation that it was for a birthday, but no one acknowledged (host/manager/ server , my lady made a toast and then we got the fun dialogue with the server. About 20 minutes before the server remembered to return and take our order. I 'd say it 's like a fancy Applebee 's, maybe it was an off night.... So decent is what you get, with all the choices, I doubt I 'll be returning or sending anyone their way. $130.00 with Tip
We 've been to Farraddays before, but somehow this is my first review. I was so disappointed this time around. I 'm not sure if this was an off night, or if they have gone downhill since the last time we were here (which has been a while). The staff is very professional and nice that hasn 't changed, but the food was not the same. Hubby and I went up to Blackhawk to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary, so we thought we would have a nice dinner at Farraddays before hitting the casino. He started with the Lobster Bisque and I had the Caesar salad. He said his soup was good, but my salad was a little under dressed. It was still good, just a little dry. The bread basket that comes with the meal was pretty good, but the butter was a little hard. Not a huge deal, it just wasn 't that spreadable. We decided to get the Porterhouse for Two w/Mashed Potatoes. We ordered the steak medium, but it was more like rare when we cut into it. It was pretty thick, but this is a steakhouse, so they should get their temperatures right. We sent it back to have it cooked a little more, but of course it came back dry. The mashed potatoes were a little dry also. It seemed like they had been sitting for a while. We finished with the cheesecake which they make in house now. They used to get them shipped in from Carnegie Deli, so we were kind of bummed about that, but excited to try their recipe. I 'm not sure what was going on here. The outside was a little dry and the inside was creamy. So I 'm not sure if that had been sitting for a while too, or if it wasn 't cooked long enough? Either way it was a little weird. Hopefully this was just an off night as I have recommended Farraddays over the steakhouse in the Ameristar to peeps when they want to have a nice dinner in Blackhawk. I still prefer Farraddays, but this recent visit was not the Farraddays I expected.
Located in the casino directly to the right as you come out the elevators. Farradays has great food and our waitress provided great service during our visit. We came here to celebrate my cousins graduation and we had the private dining space and enjoyed a great night with lots of good food. Most entrees here are in the $30-50 range and the ones I had the chance to try were very tasty. I had the Brazilian Lobster Tail and I had the chance to sample the oysters, clams and crab legs which were really tasty. For drinks my wife and I had the mojitos which were perfectly mixed! Don't forget to try dessert here as well, the chocolate decadence is definitely the way to go!
