Cobalt Cafe - Bethlehem

I visited Steelworks for the first time, located next to the Wind Creek Casino. They offer a comfort food menu, along with a midday buffet option. I opted for a simple Reuben and a Diet Coke. Unfortunately, the lemon slices for my soda still had stickers on them. The Reuben was a decent size and was served with fries, but overall, it was an underwhelming sandwich. I would give this place 3 stars because the staff was friendly and the prices were reasonable for table service, but I'd prefer to eat at the food court instead.

I've never tasted food this bad. The entire buffet consists of mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, potato casserole, and cheesy potatoes. I wouldn’t recommend going here, even if it were free.

I didn't have high hopes for an average casino with some mediocre restaurants, and this place actually fell short of my expectations. I ordered a simple grilled cheese sandwich, thinking they couldn't mess that up, but I was wrong. It was barely grilled, and when I cut into it, I could see and count each slice of cheese—it wasn't melted together at all, and it definitely wasn't the gooey goodness a grilled cheese should be. It was served lukewarm, and the side salad was unremarkable. Overall, I was really disappointed.

There's not many options for food at Wind Creek besides the food court. My husband and I had a room and after a morning of gambling we decided to try their buffet. I saw a lot of negative reviews, but wanted to try anyways. We were seated at a booth in a corner and we were so cramped we had to sit next to each other. My husband and I tried almost a little bit of every dish. I loved the salad bar and the pizza, but everything else, (including the dessert) was not seasoned well. For example, the gravy for the mashed potatoes tasted like corn starch. Everything from the mac and cheese to the fried rice and pasta salads were FLAVORLESS. I ended up eating two plates of salad and pizza. Believe the reviews and save your money! I'm giving them a star for their salad and pizza and another star for our waitress who took good care of us. I wish the casino had some better food options, but we actually had better food at the food court for dinner. We stop.

The buffet was not open for a while because of the pandemic. I'm very glad it has reopened in the last year because they have made some changes that are very significant. They always have ribs, chicken, baked fish as well as many different sides to choose from. There is always a pizza and pasta bar open where you can choose your favorite toppings and sauces. I've never had any problems with food freshness or quality. Only once or twice I've been there and the ice cream machine was out of service or something. Otherwise it's been great, I definitely get my money's worth.
