Augies 1 Italian And Pizzeria - Bethel

Should’ve read reviews before eating here. Music was blasting but there was no one there… food was fair at best… and that is being generous, ordered a Stromboli, got a calzone… the meatballs tasted like matzah balls. Pretty sure they aren’t even the #1 Italian restaurant in their parking lot… subway does Italian better than they do.

Quality has gone down hill.. shame on me for not knowing Augie sold it. I just ordered a 4 topping pizza… it came with barely any toppings but cheese.. so much cheese when you separated the slices, the cheese ripped right off. Someone also mentioned tasteless pizza and they’re right.. So gross and NOT #1..so many other places in Danbury area to order ITALIAN pizza from!

Ordered lasagna. When I got home and open it up, I was beyond disappointed. It looked soupy.The meat, and cheese and the little amount of the pasta was flowing in sauce and meat. It had such a bitter taste to it. Never again. They need to get ltalians in there. I wound up throwing it out.

Great good, good prices. Always have enough to take home half your meal. Favorites are chicken pizziola and shrimp parmigiana. Zucchini and mozzarella sticks are also delicious! Friendly staff too.

The delivery was 20 min late. They gave us cheddar cheese jalapeño poppers instead of the cream cheese, which they went out of their way to advertise. Finally, the pizza was missing one of the selected ingredients. Overall, I could have made a better pizza and heated up some frozen poppers myself.
