Located on a side street right on the market square of Michaelsbrunnen, Spitzhausen is fascinating to see. The narrow base of the house has a small footprint with the upper floor over its sides. His appearance reminds me of realists who talk about the use of the airspace over buildings. Currently, this 3-storey building is used as a pub/wine stick, but it was formerly a grape farm house in the early 15th. Century. The ground floor was used as a wine cellar and the attic was used for storage. Half the wooden facade at the house reminds me of boarding supports that are used to hold a wall from falling. However, this facility is well designed for the size of the house and contrasts with the heavily half-cut 5 floors on the market square. The building receives its name from its pointed roof, which is prominent when viewing this building from the well on the city square. Just past the outside of this building and enjoyed the unusual architecture. Everything was closed when I was in town. Just observe the unique design of the building.
In this house there is a local wine bar, but the building itself is fascinating and probably one of the most photographed houses in Bernkastel. It's heavy on top and yet the design seems right. Good weather, floods and daily use through the centuries, over half a millennium. Amazing and so fascinating.
