My girlfriend and I found this place while walking down the canal, it has great outdoor seating and is a great place to meet with friends on a nice summer evening. Due to limited seating outside, we sat indoor. We had a nice bruschetta, two...great pizzas and a tiramisu (that looked like it had been made very quickly and lacked flavour). Despite the dessert overall the food was great considering the price we paid. The major negative was the service. it was a Wednesday night around and after waiting for a waiter/waitress to appear so we could ask to pay we had to walk up to the front of the restaurant and ask to pay. All waiters were sitting down having their dinner and as I asked to pay, one of them turned around to me as he was speaking to his friend and told me just wait until we're finished with this We then had to awkwardly stand there and wait for them to finish their conversation, before one decided to get up and service us. Only then were we told their card machine didn't work, which meant my girlfriend had to run to an ATM at a Späti, which charged euros per transaction. This was a massive shame as the food and whole dinner up to that point had been great, but the service and the manner my girlfriend and I were spoken to at the end left us not wanting to come back again.
We came here twice and both times it was am absolute nightmare: You wait at least an hour, if not minutes, for your food. The staff is extremely inattentive and on top of that rude and constantly overwhelmed, and when costumers complain about the...horrible service, the manager starts screaming at them. I am not making this up, this place is as bad as it gets, it is best to stay away or eat at a real restaurant, like Il Casolare on the opposite side of the street.
If they plan a bartour, they want to make sure they start it right and we started it with a fantastic pizza in a beautiful small restaurant. great service and beautiful people are what make a regular meal a great eat. but to be fair, these pizzas, where far better than “normal”.
So. the four points are mainly for the pizza dough, which was very well cooked and delicious. the garden and the interieur are also beautiful. but there are few. - the last price was higher than the prices in the menu, two of the three...pizzas cost more and the more. - we ordered a pizza with stracciatella, but the pizza arrived and on the top there was no stracciatella, but bufala, we asked for explanation and they said that stracciatella was finished and they automatically replaced them with bufala (why didn't they ask us if it was okay, or informed us about the change and we had to ask? overall I give four points because the pizza was good, the wild pizza was very delicious. a good place to have pizza in berlin. but the service can be improved
