Joynes Kitchen - Berlin

Beautiful place, but I don't really understand the 5/5 review given by most visitors. eating was in order, but not excellent and the prices were relatiw high. not really what I would call good for her money. called French cuisine: that was not my impression...(in French itself. Maybe not the right day.

Every time I eat here I’m blown away and my most recent dinner here exceeded already high expectations! Superb amuse bouche of cod with wasabi and toasted rice cracker Light and fresh mackerel rillette was paired with an outstanding Gewürztraminer The foi gras with celeriac...tart and pear purée was sheer decadence Slow cooked egg with cep powder was bursting with umami Succulent meaty monkfish sat proudly on top of a well seasoned lentil ragout Luxurious truffle risotto Lovely comforting braised chicken crowns with gnocchi and fresh oregano and smokey sausage And finally white bean and radicchio was the perfect vehicle for the confit duck leg. Bitter orange was a beautiful surprise in this potentially heavy course lifting the whole dish. No room for pudding! The chef informed us that we had consumed a whole truffle between two of us!! Wine pairing was intelligent, well thought out and sometimes surprising. One of the best meals I can remember.

Just returned home after an excellent dinner at Joynes Kitchen. We had snow crab and veal, both of which were fabulous and while I don‘t have much of a sweet tooth, I thought the pear tarte-tatin was awesome too. There are many trendy restaurants in...Berlin-Mitte where you would pay 50-100% more to get this level of food and cooking. I gladly stick to this lovely neighborhood in West-Berlin where it‘s less touristy and so much more better valuefor money

We were recommended this place by our hotel bar man and so glad we went. Superb food and excellent service, run by a local husband and wife team

Joynes Kitchen is well worth a visit we went at the beginning of our stay in Berlin, the food was so delicious, we went back on our last night as well. The menu changes every month so we were fortunate to try two different menus,...the food from both menus was excellent. The combination of the taste and texture was very innovative. The wine menu was also very extensive. The restaurant is also very good value for money. The service was also very professional and friendly. All in all a great place to eat.
