Lir Irish Bar - Berlin

My husband and I were here because we heard good things about the place. When my husband went to order no one was in the bar, but He heard voices in the kitchen and politely went there to ask if he could buy beer.... The man in the kitchen got so angry and asks him to leave the place. My husband apologized, but the man accused him of being drunk. So rude and inappropriatw. We're running pretty fast.

Best Irish pub in Berlin and by this I mean the most authentic it is not like one of the tourist traps you find today. Great staff, nice pint and the food looked great although I did not eat on this occasion. Great place for the rugby. Expats and local Berlin. It is not on the beaten path so that you do not have the tourists. Very recommend to find your way there and a nice quiet pint.

Purpose You don't wait your life for a beer or any kind staff here! It doesn't seem to have management and nobody knows their role. Ask a barman for a drink and he will fade with exhaustion

I went here to watch the Roma-Liverpool Champions League Semi Final and the place was packed with proper red-shirted Liverpool fans, singing and chanting and having a great time. Apparently the landlord is a Red Man, so it loos like there's a local group of...Liverpool fans who regularly come here. At first I was a bit concerned that it would be too small and crowded, but once I found a place to stand and watch the screens, the atmosphere was fantastic. The pub itself has a very small corner bar, so it's best to give your drinks order to one of the staff who come around the tables. It's a cosy place, so get there early if you want a good seat. The back room holds about 45 people and has a massive projector screen and one smaller TV, and the bar room can take a similar number and has a large TV on the wall. The Lir apparently screens all the main sporting events and it serves decent inexpensive Irish-style food. My cottage pie was 9€ and a pint of pils was €3.50. A good night out (and a great result!

Waited 20 mins at the bar for 4 drinks, when gently reminded staff about said drinks I was told to wait or leave, 28 Euros for 4 drinks. poor value, I won't go back here, very very rude.
