Joe's Restaurant und Wirtshaus - Berlin

We thought it was a quick goulash soup and beer! This restaurant is a typical old Berlin style. The service is very good and we enjoyed it while remembering the old Berlin and of course Theodor Heuss place!! I recommend... this restaurant because it is a convenient hiding place!!

We were just looking for something cheap for lunch, and saw that they had a blackboard advertising a lunch for 6.90 euro. we had this and it was delicious and amazing value for money. The solo waiter served us really quickly, and was warm and...friendly, would thoroughly recommend. It also has an amazing decor in the dining room.

We went on a Tuesday, all tables for four were reserved, but no one used them all evening so we were a little cramped in a window seat, maybe to make the restaurant look busier than it was? It’s next door to the Block House...so has stiff competition. Our food was plentiful, chicken and beef burgers, which both came with lots of dressings, tomato sauce, mayo, spicy tomato relish and Marie rose, a little overkill for my taste. The beef burger was good, the chicken was a little dry but I did enjoy it. Desserts looked much better and tasted very good. When we requested the bill, we were advised that if we wanted to leave a tip, please give cash because of tax implications, we're still somewhat shocked by the bravado of the comment and wonder if tips are shared in the kitchen?

Wir waren dort schon 3 mal. Bis aufs letzte mal war alles gut. Letztes mal hatte ich nach der Kalbsleber, welche übrigens sehr gut war leider Bauchschmerzen. Deshalb nur •••• 4 Punkte.
