Lovely traditional Gasthaus. The bar area is designed around traditional wood and counter with large beer tables. The food area is on another level and the menu is typical traditional fare and resembles home cooking. The prices are very reasonable given the quality of the...food. Be warned its a busy spot particularly at week ends and reservations are a must. The staff are friendly, they can be very busy and cash is king.. no credit cards are accepted. Try the schnitzel its divine!! Steak tartare is yummy! Its also a short walk to the nearest u bahn after tasting all that lovely local beer!
We had been here before, and have no regrets that we returned. Solid German food we had schnitzel, in my case the XL variety, nice atmosphere, friendly service, good choice of wine and beer. Perhaps a tiny bit understaffed. But we shall return
Sat outside about on a Sunday. Was crowded and waitress seemed frazzled. Anyway ordered drinks and food which came out promptly. Waitress mellowed nicely and all was well. Breadbasket with herb quark came out first and was delish. Ordered small dish of sautéed chicken...over noodles with broccoli. Was excellent. White Riesling was perfect and service great
The food was great! Very tasty and fresh ingredients. The menu is also in english which is a plus. Friendly and helpful staff made the visit even better
