La Houblonniere - Berck

Stayed over one night so decided to try out this restaurant as it was across the road from this hotel. The waiter very attentive even through the language barrier, the food was amazing . The price of the meal for 6 was very reasonable and...would defiantly recommend. We are going back for our return journey in 2 weeks

We were staying in a nearby hotel for the night on our way back to Calais and popped in to the restaurant at 9pm in the hope that ether could seat 9 of us. The staff were great, they moved some tables together and seated...us no problem. The restaurant looks a bit dated but I think it's meant to be the style of the place, but it was clean, the staff made us feel welcome and the menu was decent. They had a few televisions showing the Olympiad on too. Go team GB!! A few of the group had steak, others mussels and the kids pasta. The food was nice and reasonably priced. The staff were lovely, very attentive and great with the kids. The kids got hats, sweets and whistles (although we hid the whistles from them, lol). The adults got 2 beer cooling bags between us! Would recommend

Stopped here by chance on way to Eurotunnel jujst down the road from the main autoroute . A great find and it must be good as it was full of lunchtime diners who were clearly local office workers. And if it good enough for them..............Economical priced with a great variety of decent well cooked food on the menu which gets you nicely set up for the Channel crossing and home. And its close by the Carrefour supermarket for last minute presents!

We went here on a recommendation from hotel. Requested two medium steak, both were overcooked, with one having to have the burnt bits cut off. Staff were ok, but not really interested in anything but getting you fed and out.
