Ristorante Il Calabrese Pizzeria

The food was in order and as we were Italian, we expected parmesan cheese. it wasn't. So we asked about it and we were given it. I was a bit surprised and disappointed when I saw that parmesan was an extra on the bill at everyone?

Pacing the icy roads on Christmas Eve desperately searching for a restaurant to be opened was no mean feat but this pizzeria was,We huddled into a warmly lit room crowded with wood pieces and pine beams and decorative cutlery.There was one waiter handling the show.Food...was lovely cooked with skill and expertise although reception was lukewarm but after Vienna I no longer wanted to care.An exceptionally cold day and warm food in our bellies and the comfort of a good hotel room..all that mattered.

What a great place to relax quirky décor and wonderful staff including such a funny and friendly owner/chef. The food was great, loved the Tagliatelle al Salmone which packed such incredible flavour and with a very generous quantity of salmon.

Excellent Italian eatery when you need a break from German food. Wait staff is excellent and a a good selection of wines to accompany the meal. Well worth the cost.
