Ming's Cafe - Benton Park

I have lived in Bakersfield for a long time and have never noticed this place! From the moment you walk in there's a calming air and welcoming environment to this quaint little restaurant. It's beautifully decorated, incredibly clean, and very spacious! The gentleman who runs the cafe is a bit soft spoken, but willing to accommodate the smallest parties to even large groups. And the food! His Chow Mein is like no other I've had in town. If you love sauces, this man is a master and will WOW your tastebuds. Not into Chinese food? He also offers American dinners to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. But seriously don't just take my word for it GO TRY IT YOURSELF.

25$ for subpar, pork chopsuey,all veggies little pork, 2 medium shrimp 4$, 3$ for bowl of rice.. Billy Lee's and rice bowl all included for 15$. Sorry this place needs to close, stayed at my table talking while I was trying to eat.went at 3 no one else inside.

Wendy is always nice to us. Their business has not been doing so well I hope this will help. We have been eating here for years since I was a kid. My dad loved to eat there. Wendy and Michael were his friends. We just lost him and went to eat there she was so sweet to us since we recently lost our dad. Michael made us chicken fried steak with chicken since they did not have any it was so good. The chicken fried steak is our favorite thing to eat there. They do not always have them since they are not doing well but Michael always tried to accommodate us. The beef short ribs are wonderful. If you are looking for a new place to eat please try this place you won’t be disappointed. They have Chinese food as well.

I don’t have family but I always look forward to picking up a plate. I love the food of the holidays but never want to cook for myself. The food is delicious every year. Thank you Ming Restaurant
