One of the best and least expensive donut shops I've been to recently in the city of Bakersfield. Fantastic food and a great assortment of fun donuts. Check them

Store Outside Apperance doesn't look clean. There is graffiti, panhandlers with shopping carts begging for money. Back of the store I once saw people laying down by the back entrance with a sofa, pallets, and boxes. If they can't keep the outside of the store clean, I am not eating there.

Highland Donuts has been such a great addition to the surrounding community. They offer duch a wonderful selection of traditional donuts as well as updated versions of the classic. I'm not a sweets person so I slways do for the jalapeño and cheese or ham and cheese offerings. Everything is always fresh snd often still warm. All very tasty. I rarely purchase coffee there, but on the occasions that I have it was strong but not bitter'good flavor. Good selection, hood quality, well priced.
