My only hesitation on five stars was the music. It was a bit jarring at times and didn't seem to mesh with the clientele that you might have expected in the place. Otherwise great.
A terrific place to enjoy a wonderful meal. Menu changes depending on the seasonality of the food. The preparation of it is exquisite, the taste is delicious and the value is good. I highly recommend it
What a treat our dining experience at 100 North was this past week. In addition to salads, main course entrees, and dessert, we tried many of the unusual but delicious to share or not to share starters on the menu. From kohlrabi and cucumber carpaccio, and gold beets and carrots, to the eggplant chick pea fries, the variety was intriguing. We were not sorry we ventured out of our usual fare. Everything was cooked to perfection and so many unusual but pleasing flavors. Hundred North pride themselves on offering local and sustainable food, and they live up to the promise. The service was friendly and precise and the price reasonable. Their menu changes often. What more could good friends ask for in a dinner on a Tuesday night in Bellingham?!
Unremarkable attempt at creative cuisine in a “remote” market. The problems began when we walked into the front door and no one came to great us. There were maybe 4 other tables occupied in the whole place at 730pm. Couple ahead of us finally left after waiting for 15minutes to be seated. We had reserved and were tired, so persevered. Finally seated. Floor staff was very friendly, but frankly clueless. We had a few items, but none was memorable, yet okay. NY strip was actually a very tough “baseball cut” top round or such, house made chicaronnes were dangerously rock hard and inedible. Kale fritters had little kale and tasted as if the frying oil needed changing. House made sausage (boudin blanc like) were pretty good but came with an indescribably bland white bread purée as you might give someone with digestive issues. I know the chef was trying for something unique, but was lost on us. Desert was a fun chocolate and ginger rhubarb thing that tasted great. We don’t want to blow them up, but if they would just try a bit harder, they could really have some fun with OneHundred!
Another outstanding experience at Hundred North, easily the most creative cooking in Bellingham A quick list of the items the four of us enjoyed: fried broccoli with broccomole, rabbit tarting, smoked leg of lamb, king cod with morels, quinoa crusted king salmon. Each dish was delicious. Great service, great cocktails.
