St Joachim Diner and Big Scoop Ice Cream Parlour

My husband really loved this place. He had the roast beef meal. We came here because of the show You Gotta Eat Here. I didn't like it as much as my hubby did. We would come back to eat here again.

This was the second time that we had gone to this establishment. To say the least it has not changed. The first time my wife had onion rings so greasy that there was 1/4 inch of oil in the bottom of the bowl that they served them in. Their specialty burger tasted like meatloaf cut to size on a burger bun.Needless to say we were not impressed. The second that we went was just this past March. We went with another couple and to say the least it was a Total Failure. Not one of our meals was cooked correctly the first time. The female from the other couple had ordered the chicken special with white meat. It came with drumsticks and cold fries. It took three times to get her meal oorrect but by that time she wasn't hungry anymore. My wife's fish had not fully cooked batter yet it was dripping oil. My own chicken parm was so burnt I could hardly cut it with a steak knife. Oh by the way the burnt side was down. I guess they figured if it was down it wouldn't be noticed. Too bad the knife would cut through. The other gentleman stated that with beer you can wash anything down. The stay was very apologetic though. Almost as if they were used to it. If you're starving this might be an ok place otherwise NO.

Service was good but like others stated, the food was terrible! Chicken strips were awfully and the onion rings were probably the worse I've ever had. Soggy and dripping in oil....not impressed at all. Used to be good but will not be wasting my money there anymore!

Restaurant was recommended. Appears to have gone downhill. Service was fine but the food was terrible. I had meat Loaf but not sure what it was looked terrible and certainly did not taste very good

This restaurant was terrible.We waited over 45 minutes to receive our meal. All we ordered was burgers and fries, and chicken burgers and fries.The buns were dried out the chicken burgers were well over cooked and dried out and burnt french fries. The burgers were also over cooked .To top it off this was the 2nd time in 2 months we tried this restaurant. It was pretty much the same way.We won't be returning to this place ever.This place at one time was booming. For me I wouldn't recommend this place for a place to dine.
