Shang Yao - Bedford

The food is both delicious and diverse, and it's reasonably priced. However, I did have one concern: the bathroom had a dirty light switch and door that didn’t seem to have been cleaned in a while. Additionally, the curtains in the dining area looked sad and barely hung properly. Paying more attention to these cosmetic details would really enhance their appeal.

Good is ideal for the price and very fresh. The decor could help but friendly staff. Obviously family business. I had the orange chicken. My husband tried to get me in, a kid is a full plate! Jum, too. We'll order again.

Finally, a restaurant found that knows what and how Egg Foo Young should be. They cook it perfectly. The staff is super understanding, helpful and very polite. Your call/order will be handled with accuracy from the time you place the order until the time it comes to your door. I can't say enough here. Please don't change and keep the big work. Now I'll order dinner again.

Last night, just before graduation, we stopped by about twenty minutes before our event. It was our first time ordering from this restaurant, and we tried the black pepper beef, lo mein, three small egg drop soups, chicken chow fun, and a California roll with extra ginger on the side. Everything was delicious! Our van driver, Richard, was very polite. Although I didn't catch the name of the person who answered the phone, she was patient and incredibly helpful with the menu.

My family and I are from Delaware. Back east they have amazing chinese food. Since we have been here in Texas we have had up and down cuisine. At this restaurant they claim to have New York style chinese food.... And they DO! I had the chicken wings with fried rice and it was done like I had it back home. With fried onions peas and carrots. It was delicious! Next I had the the Wonton Egg Drop so damned eggy and delicious! It was THE east coast meal I have been missing in this state. And their phone never stopped ringing! Orders were being called in as soon as the phone was hung up! My reason for the 1 star deduction is because they gave my husband a can of soda and no cup of ice. Also their tables weren't clean and the bathroom, while somewhat clean, had a bad smell and dirty walls smh. It made sense to me why no one came in there to eat sit down style. The only person manning the phones was the same person that took our order, just her and the cook in the back, 2 people. 3 if you count the delivery driver. And my very last reason for the 1 star deduction is: the fish tank. It was huge but had one large lonely goldfish and his tank was filthy. I was told they didn't have time to clean it, which is never an excuse. That fish needed to be rescued. My final thought/recommendation is order your food and pick it up or have it delivered. The food is amazing. The goldfish and its tank was not.
