If there was no star rating. Rude hostess/cashier/owner! The woman was very rude and racist for other Asian races and beautiful only for the race she thinks is superior. It took her to come to the counter forever to take our order after she asked at any other table how her meal was. We gave her the advantage of doubt and ordered food. She was very fast to help others as soon as they arrived at the event. I even tipped and she didn't seem impressed by my patronage. Never again! The food was like that. Nothing special and authentic. Do not waste your gas and money for this mediocrity.

Up until about a year ago, when I last visited Zab Thai, I would have agreed wholeheartedly that the Beef Noodle Soup was outstanding. In fact, it was my favorite dish and I raved about it to anyone who would listen. Unfortunately, after traveling from NE Portland to pick up 2 orders of the beef soup yesterday, my opinion has changed drastically. Perhaps it 's because I ordered my food to go and they thought they could get away with it, but for whatever reason, I have to say the beef soup was beyond disappointing it was disgusting. These had to be some of the toughest and cheapest cuts of meat (I question whether it 's actually meat) I have ever come across. As a previous reviewer indicated, Yes, the beef in the Beef Noodle Soup used to be amazingly tender, such that you could probably eat it without chewing. That was not the case with either of my 2 orders yesterday. As you can see in the photos I am sharing, the beef or, whatever it is, has a tough, rubbery, layer running pretty much throughout. It 's not fat, because you can chew through fat. You can even tell by the way it is curled up in the photos below that something is not right. And it 's not that there were amazing cuts of beef with a few of these pieces mixed in... This was ALL of the beef. Just look at the consistency and judge for yourself. As for me, I will never order from Zab Thai again. Fool me once, shame on you... Fool me twice...? Not a chance.

One of my favorite places to get a steamy hot bowl of soup , the broth Is on point, and the beef is so tender it melts in mouth. From the presentation to the flavor , absolutely incredible. I gave 5 stars because it's so zen inside the restaurant, the customer service is amazing they are very welcoming and very friendly .

We have been going to Zab Thai for 10 years but tonight was the first time I would not recommend it. Ordered the basil fried rice and green curry with ?chicken?. Something seemed off as soon as I got home and opened the containers. The green curry was not its normal light green hue but rather but a brown color, had about 3 little chunks of eggplant and the chicken tasted like chicken jerky. The basil fried rice was missing mushrooms and didn?t have its normal fried rice taste. That being said we have been going here for years and loved it so I will give them another shot and update.
