La Fogata Mexican Cantina - Beaverton

This is a little hidden gem and the only Mexican restaurant we visit anymore. Having grown up in a Hispanic town, I often find myself disappointed at most Mexican restaurants. However, the traditional food here is absolutely delicious. I haven't had a single meal that hasn't impressed me. Just be mindful of the portion sizes—one dish can easily serve two people.

We used a Groupon for a tequila tasting along with appetizers, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience. The generous portions of tequila paired with the delicious appetizers made for an enjoyable evening. The staff and owner were very attentive, taking the time to explain the various tequila options available. I highly recommend this experience, or even just visiting for a wonderful dinner.

This is a great Mexican restaurant. The food is excellent, not like typical Mexican food that can be greasy. The service is very friendly , they always bring the food out on time and hot. I highly recommend la Fogata to anyone who's looking for great tasting Mexican food.

My best friend was visiting from New York where you cannot get decent Mexican food. This totally hit the spot! Food is simple and great. I had a fajita quesadilla and it was delicious. I can't stand cilantro but their guac was not too cilantro-ey.

One our favorites, my wife and I go here regularly. The food is excellent every time we have visited. The decor is pretty good overall, but some of it is a cheezy (in a good way). The service is always quick, we have never had to wait for a table and have the servers have always been attentive.
