Bistro At The Bay - Bayonne

I came with a group of 8 friends for a late dinner/special party night with a DJ. The food was great but the atmosphere and staff really made it amazing. We danced all night long! The food and drinks were fairly priced. Definitely coming back and can’t wait for warmer weather so we can sit on the large patio!

Let me first start by saying the restaurant has potential. Unfortunately last night was not a good night. The staff was overwhelmed. Very disappointing.We made reservations, the young waiter ignored me when I told him we had reservations, sat us down at a small table (my boyfriend is 6’3” that still had beer bottles on it and he didn’t wipe it down. When I asked if we could sit at one of the two larger tables that were opened, was told it was for a large party that had reservations but YET the couple who came a few minutes after us were sat down at the table then the another couple at the other table, clearly not together, clearly not a large party.The menu is limited and all over the place (Mexican, American, etc. . The food was average at best, can’t go too wrong with nachos, hamburger and steak. We had to get up and ask another waiter for ketchup and pepper after asking our waiter and waiting a few minutes. Drinks were interesting, the waiter did warn us that the Mojito was not a typical Mojito.The atmosphere is nice. Decor is nice.The plastic with a few balloons hanging from the ceiling (looks like a felt over from New Year’s Eve should be removed.Gave the restaurant 3 stars because our waiter was nice but VERY overwhelmed and the restaurant has potential, otherwise the rating would have been lower.

Great place... Bar with sit down tables... Lots of big screen tv. Great to watch a game and enjoy bar food. Waiting for full menu. Need more tables. Won't be disappointed.

What can I say…. I have visited twice in one week. Food was amazing. Drinks were on point. Staff and management were there, on the floor checking and catering to every need. This may be my new hang out restaurant. Go check it out. You won’t be disappointed!!

First time there today and I was not disappointed! The food and service were phenomenal! Will definitely be going back!
