Sapphire Restaurant & Pub - BAY BULLS

The Sapphire Restaurant is a very unique location. It has aPub , Bar Restaurant and a game centre. The food is fresh and good. I got the smallest Codfish pan fried I ever eat ! I guess the want me on a diet. I am not on a diet, so no reason for me to visit again.

Ate here two nights running whilst staying at Witless Bay. Had the chowder and sandwich on day 1 and the fish burger platter. Food was very tasty. Whilst here saw someone have a lobster, so returned the following day to have a lobster supper - which we shared. Very good value. Service from staff was very friendly and very good.

Clearly unwanted at the get-go, before we sat down as they had "18 table order and we would be a long wait" although there were multiple free tables. Basically encouraged us to leave. Poor service if you're trying to run a business. Won't be back.

Visited with large group of family. We waited an hour and a half for some overly fried, greasy food. Service was awful. This restaurant was the low point of a otherwise great trip to Newfoundland. Go elsewhere for good seafood.

Stopped in during Irish Loop road trip for lunch. Restaurant and pub, looked nice, highly anticipated 'pub fare'. Very disappointed, meal was bland at best, appetizer of garlic bread served on plain bread with cheap cheese, soggy fish and chips, ordered a beverage and never received it. Left quickly.
