Whole Foods Market - Baton Rouge

First, it's the pizza. I'm talking about the slices, not the frozen or take-home varieties. You can get two enormous slices for around $7, and the selection is fantastic. They offer everything from spinach and feta to sausage and pepperoni. Coming from the Northeast, this pizza is as close to home as I've found. The crust is crispy, the cheese is wonderfully gooey—oh, it's amazing. Second, there's the Chantilly cake. Goodness… I'm not usually a sweets person, but I would go out of my way just to have a slice of that cake.

The hot food bar at Whole Foods certainly looks appealing, but I often find that the flavor doesn't quite live up to its appearance. While the dishes taste healthy, it's not always in the most enjoyable way. Everything seems slightly off to my palate, which might just be a matter of personal preference. On the bright side, I really enjoy the paninis, pizza, and BBQ meat selections. And I have to mention the bakery—it's truly outstanding! I mean, who can resist the Berry Chantilly? It's definitely the best cake around!

It reminds me of a similar place I visited in another country. The Asian counter features a comfortable seating area with delicious noodle bowls and other enticing items that are very inviting. The staff here is both friendly and efficient. The food is not only tasty but also reasonably priced. I enjoyed both the Thai Shrimp bowl and the Chicken Fun; they were satisfying and delicious dishes. The salad bar is another excellent option, offering trays filled with healthy toppings for a nutritious meal. I visited twice in two days and will definitely be back soon for another quick, delicious meal.

Yummy! Ribs at a Whole Foods store? I was a bit of a skeptic! But those were some of the best ribs I've ever had! No joke! And the strawberry cheesecake is a slice of heaven! Very good food! I wish there was a Whole Foods Market in Lafayette!

Philly Cheese is Great!. I know when you think of Whole Foods you definitely don't think philly cheesesteak, but wow super yummy! A pearl in an unexpected place. Employees are always friendly and helpful. Love WF for a quick lunch bite.
