I was looking for some good smoked brisket last Friday 11/12/21, my usual place in New Orleans had run out and I had a taste for brisket. So we drove to Baton Rouge after searching google I found a place called the Smoky Pit. I got to the Smoky Pit and the Brisket was delicious The owner wasn't in, I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting his mother. The brisket was so good we decided to take an order of smoked pork ribs and smoked catfish to go. I told the owner's mama no need to warm it I can put them in the oven when we get home. I don't eat pork my fiance does. The ribs were bad, they were slimy and he was not able to eat them. I was very disappointed by this, I tried calling them on that Monday morning but they were closed. I tried calling the customer service line and I can't leave a message. That was my first and LAST TIME eating from the smoky pit.
