Bistro Italia - Baton Rouge

I loved everything about this place! We tried the fried ravioli, the Jax Jax pizza, eggplant meatball rollatini, shrimp florentine ravioli, and the chocolate mousse cake. We had plenty of leftovers that were just as delicious. Our waiter earned an A for customer service. After driving over an hour to Baton Rouge just to visit Bistro Italia, it exceeded all our expectations, and we will definitely be returning!

I picked up eggplant parmesan and their Italian house salad for dinner tonight. The eggplant was perfectly cooked and filled with cheese. The marinara sauce had a wonderful homemade flavor. The garlic bread was a generous portion (honestly, the entire meal was huge!) and was seasoned with dried herbs and parmesan. I was particularly impressed with the salad—fresh vegetables, high-quality greens (thankfully not just iceberg lettuce like some places), and plenty of feta. Their house vinaigrette was excellent! You definitely get your money’s worth here. The food was served hot, and the service was friendly. This place is a hidden gem! I will certainly be going back. Delicious!!!!!!

I can't stop raving about the Eggplant Parmesan—it's absolutely delicious! I recently hosted a retirement party for a good friend at the restaurant, and everyone was thrilled with their meals. With a group of 30, we pretty much tried every dish on the menu! You absolutely have to check this place out! Plus, the staff is fantastic!

Have eaten here often, the food is as perfect Italian as you can find. The owner and staff are great people and have a great family. You will never be disappointed here!! Thank you John!!!

The garlic knots were delicious. The food and service were excellent. We will be going back.
